I attended a two day sUAS FAA part 107 drone training in order to obtain my FAA sUAS pilot license. I was able to pass the test after attending this training and also fee very comfortable knowing where to and not to fly. The instructor and owner Dave is very knowledgeable, professional and answered every question me and my colleges had. Four of us attended the training and all four passed the FAA test the following week.

Chris was super helpful, these guys always answered any question or concern I had before and even after my purchase. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They kept me updated of my order all the way up to the delivery and then have been more than helpful in answering my questions after I received it. The instructional videos were the best part in helping me understand how to set up and use my drone. If you have any questions or worries about what you are ordering just give them a call and they will be more then glad to help. I'd give more stars if I could.

Can't say enough good things about Steel City Drones. My order arrived very quickly and, even though a couple of items were back-ordered, I received frequent updates until the parts were on my doorstep. Additionally, an aftermarket item that I ordered had proven a bit pesky to use (through no fault of Steel City). The staff here did a great job of researching the problem for me and testing everything before shipping it to me.Finally, any questions I had were answered very quickly by either phone or email.I would highly recommend Steel City Drones. They will be the only vendor I use from now on. I wish more companies were this professional.

I had the pleasure of ordering a piece of equipment from Steel City Drones last week. I was not accustomed to getting a phone call prior to my order being shipped, a follow-up email notifying me with the details of my order, and a follow-up phone call to make sure that I had received the product and if I had any questions.I say “not accustomed” because Customer Service seems to be lip-service to most companies. It’s refreshing to deal with an outfit that realizes that this is key to the success of their business.Nice job Steel City Drones, you have certainly gained a repeat customer!

I had a problem with the DJI Matrice 300 RTK not connecting to the smart controller after update. The guys at Steel City Drones provided an old version of the DJI assistant 2 app, so I could downgrade it to the older version and reconnect the smart controller to the drone. And it was done in a matter of hour. Great service!!!

Signed up for a drone pilot license course in 2020 during COVID. Took me four years to complete the course due to other obligations. I was able to pass the course in 2024 with a 92% percent rate using their material and practice exams plus other Youtube resources. They sent an automated email reminder each week for all those years and never closed my account. Great course! Truly at your own pace. Just make sure you supplement it with other videos from Youtube as the more content you review the better you are able to understand and remember concepts.

I saw a Youtube video posted by Steel City Drones regarding an issue with the newest firmware version of the DJI Matrice 300 RTK which is not compatible with the old controller. Newest DJI Assistant software does not allow you to downgrade to an older UAV firmware version and results in loss of communication with the controller (with the newest UAV firmware). Steel City Drones was able to fix my problem by providing a link to an older installation of the DJI Assistant. Their response was super prompt and the solution they offered worked immediately. Really helped me resolve the issues I was facing! Very thankful!

I work with Pinetown Rescue & EMS. I have taken online classes With Steel City Drones for the Matrice 300 and have used them as Subject Matter Experts. They have been so professional and kind to us. Products, service, Training - all around great experience-Armstrong County DPS purchased a M-30T UAV . Thru 4 days of class, Chris was great instructor. very knowledgeable. He was able to teach to the new people in our group and was also make it informative for myself as a Part 107 holder. the training on the UAV itself was productive and useful.The M-30T is an awesome drone for S&R.

These guys are great. Got a Matrice 30T from them and the contact, interaction and followup was great. These guys aren't only sellers, they're very involved in the use of drones for first responders and utilities. They do a lot of education and advocacy in the UAV space on YouTube as well. This four-day course was a wonderful learning experience. Brent and Greg from Steel City drones have provided an outstanding comprehensive learning course on the Matrice 300, FAA requirements/regulations, and the means of flying/utilizing the drone for numerous scenarios. With zero experience flying drones, Brent and Greg made the learning process worry free with the way they implemented exercises that built off of each other. I used Steel City Drones’ study guide for the FAA Part 107 exam and passed the first try. Dave did a good job breaking down all the relevant sections that are on the test, and putting emphasis on the things that need to be studied. As long as you put in the time to study the material that’s provided in the course, you shouldn’t have any problems passing. Highly recommend.

Dave and Chris at Steel City Drones provide customer service and support that are second to none! I have purchased DJI Enterprise drones from other authorized retailers and have barely received a thank you. I purchased a new M300 RTK with a P1 camera and Dave went out of his way to have the drone set up/activated for me before I arrived at his shop, spent an hour with me going over the drone, and even offered to take me out for flight training. He provided an online training course at no cost, and is a man of his word. He and Chris even helped load the new setup into my truck. If you're in the market for a new drone, definitely call these guys. I can't say enough good things about them.

We recently purchased the M-300 for our fire department. Steel City Drones sent 2 instructors to facilitate the training. We spent 4 days flying, going over all aspects of the drone, remote, safety, hazards, etc. It was excellent training to say the least. The instructors, Brent and Chris, were both extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of the drone and extremely helpful and assisted us through all the black tape as well.
